WINSLOW ART STUDIO is the unique teaching studio of Jack and Karen Winslow, Vermont Realists, and featured artists in American Artist magazine.  All of their paintings are from life (not photographs), and the Winslows are among the few artists today who are reviving and upholding "Old Master" techniques and traditional craftsmanship.  They grind some of their paints, make their own mediums and varnishes, and prepare the finest Belgian or Irish linen, panels or 100% rag paper with the best grounds. 

The paintings of Jack and Karen Winslow reflect the many years of study with the great Classical painter, Frank Mason, at the Art Students League in New York City and in his landscape workshops in Vermont.  Since 1979, when they opened WINSLOW ART STUDIO in Vermont, they have sold over 800 paintings as regular exhibitors in galleries around the country. Karen has traveled to Japan where she demonstrated portrait drawing at the Gifu Museum of Fine Art, and  AMERICAN ARTIST magazine wrote a major feature about them with Jack's painting "Vermont Summer",   on the cover of the February 1991 issue (pages 24-31 and 80-83).  They offer classes and workshops in landscape, still life and portrait from life.
